This article analyzes the concept of Islamic education from the perspective of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan and its relevance for the development of Islamic education in the digital era. The study was conducted using a literature study method with descriptive-analytical analysis of scientific sources and historical documents that discuss the renewal of Muhammadiyah education, the integration of religious knowledge and general knowledge, the modernization of learning methods, and the dynamics of challenges and opportunities for learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in the era of digital platforms and artificial intelligence. The results of the study show that Dahlan's ideas emphasize Islamic education as a tajdid project that rejects the dichotomy of knowledge, prioritizes social practice (charity) and moral formation, and develops a dynamic curriculum that is adaptive to changing times. In the digital era, these principles can be operationalized through: (1) integralistic curriculum design that integrates digital literacy and Islamic literacy, (2) active-collaborative pedagogy based on projects and social problem solving, (3) digital ethics governance and spiritual development through a blended learning model, and (4) the use of technology (LMS, educational social media, and AI) in a critical and civilized manner. This article recommends an implementation framework that positions technology as an instrument of empowerment, not a substitute for educational relationships, so that the mission of developing progressive individuals remains intact amidst the currents of digital disruption.
