Consumption is a fundamental aspect of human life that is not only related to the fulfillment of physical needs, but also has an impact on social and spiritual balance. The research method used is a qualitative method with a literature research approach. This aims to analyze consumption behavior from an Islamic perspective with a focus on Surah Al-Qasas verse 77 and the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Through a qualitative method based on literature studies, data was collected from various sources such as tafsir books, Islamic economics books, and hadiths related to consumption ethics. The results of the analysis show that Islam teaches the principle of balanced consumption between worldly and hereafter interests, with an emphasis on halal, usefulness, fairness, and self-control. Q.S Al-Qasas verse 77 emphasizes four main aspects: the pursuit of happiness in the hereafter, attention to worldly rights, the command to do good, and the prohibition of doing harm. In addition, the Prophet's teachings also emphasize the dangers of greed and the importance of simplicity in consumption. Excessive consumption (israf) is strictly prohibited because it can reduce blessings and damage social, environmental, and spiritual order. Thus, consumption in Islam is not only a matter of economics, but also a form of worship that reflects spiritual and social responsibility. This principle distinguishes Islamic economics from conventional economic approaches, which tend to be oriented toward personal satisfaction and material gain alone.
