Fenomena Riba Digital dalam Produk Keuangan Modern: Kajian Perspektif Dalil Al-Quran dan Hadist
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the phenomenon of digital usury in contemporary financial products from the perspective of the Qur'an and Hadith. To analyze usury practices in digital financial products such as paylater, online loans, traditional credit cards, and online trading, as well as to interpret the verses of the Qur'an and Hadith that prohibit usury, a literature review method was used. The findings of this study indicate that usury is an additional cost that is prohibited in loans, borrowing, purchases, and sales. In addition, the practice of digital usury harms society with social problems, economic injustice, and ongoing financial difficulties, especially for the younger generation. Charity as an alternative to economic empowerment and repentance for individuals involved in usury are proposed as solutions. In conclusion, to promote social and moral welfare, Islamic finance must replace the interest-based economic system.
