This study aims to analyze the alleged violations of Islamic business ethics in the case of forced
resignation that occurred at PT. Erigo in 2022. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach
through literature studies and case analysis to provide a comprehensive understanding of the ethical
implications involved. The findings reveal that the forced resignation without severance pay and the
occurrence of salary delays constitute violations of core Islamic ethical principles such as justice (al-
„adl), trust (amanah), and honesty (shidq). Moreover, the absence of dialogue and participatory
decision-making indicates the neglect of the principle of syura (consultation) in managing employee
relations. The case also highlights fundamental weaknesses in human resource management,
particularly in addressing labor rights and maintaining workplace dignity. Islamic business ethics-based
solutions are proposed, including reforms in HR policies, transparency in corporate governance, fair
dispute resolution mechanisms, and strengthening corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs.
These findings not only contribute to the discourse on ethical labor practices in Indonesia but also
emphasize the urgent need for integrating Islamic ethical values into corporate culture. This research
offers valuable insights for policymakers, business leaders, and academics concerned with aligning
organizational conduct with Sharia principles.
