The ethics of buying and selling in Islam have a strong foundation in the Qur'an and Hadith. In April 2025, the BPJPH and BPOM discovered a case involving food products containing pork (porcine) that failed to disclose this on their labeling. This not only violates positive legal regulations but also breaches the principles of Islamic Sharia regarding the permissibility and honesty in transactions. This study aims to examine Qur'anic verses and Hadiths related to the prohibition of selling unlawful items and fraud in trade. The research employs a thematic interpretation (maudu’i) approach, using qualitative-descriptive methods. The findings indicate that Surah Al-Ma’idah verse 3 forbids all forms of trade involving haram products, including pork. Meanwhile, Surah Ash-Shu‘ara verses 181–183 emphasize the importance of honesty in transactions and prohibit fraud (ghish). This study underscores that business actors have a Sharia obligation to ensure their products are halal and to provide truthful information to consumers.
