Abstrak

This research investigates religious guidance through the practice of eclipse prayer and its impact on all the students (santri) at the Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in the village of Pagendingan, Galis District, Pamekasan Regency. Eclipse prayer is a religious practice that is rarely performed but holds significant importance in Islam. The primary objective of this study is to assess the influence of eclipse prayer practices on the religious understanding and implementation of the students at this Islamic boarding school.This research employs survey and interview methods to collect data from all the students at the Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School. The research findings indicate that the practice of eclipse prayer has a positive impact on the religious understanding of the students. Those actively engaged in this practice tend to possess a deeper understanding of the concepts and values of Islam. Additionally, the eclipse prayer practice reinforces the religious identity of the students and enhances their participation in other religious activities within the boarding school.The study also identifies several factors that influence the level of student participation in the eclipse prayer practice, including support from instructors and the social environment within the boarding school. Therefore, it is recommended that the religious education approach at Islamic boarding schools places greater emphasis on the eclipse prayer practice as an essential component of fostering a deeper religious understanding.
