This article discusses Kiai Langgar's views on interfaith relations in the perspective of Islamic education. Kiai Langgar as a religious figure who has an important role in the village community of Batang-Batang Sumenep sub-district, is often faced with social dynamics that involve inter-religious interaction (litas faham). First, the position of kiai langgar in the middle of the village community of Batang-Batang Sumenep District is an educator in terms of religion, moral guardians, community leaders, and guides in change. Second, Islamic education through the work of Kiai Langgar said that relations between religious communities must be based on the principle of ukhuwah, namely brotherhood that does not distinguish between religion, ethnicity, or race. Third, the consciousness of accepting the new understanding of Islam is not fully part of life for (though not all) kiai langgar. Fourth, in the aspect of the process of implementing Islamic education, Kiai violates using an authoritarian model. With the concept of Cangkolang, it is a presumptuous attitude and behavior that must be avoided to respect honorable people (kiai langgar). Not only that, cangkolang is related to other concepts, namely tola (quality) and basto (curse).
